Why do I need JRE?

JRE (or Java Runtime Environment) is required by Neuron Power Engineer so that Neuron Power Engineer can be executed at a large extent independently of the operating system.

JRE is included in the delivery range of Neuron Power Engineer and is installed together with Neuron Power Engineer. Because of JRE, there are no additional installation or configuration steps for you to do.

Neuron recommends to install and use the most current versions of Neuron Power Engineer and the runtime system so that the latest features and problem fixes according to the release notes are provided in the used version.
